Disruption expected | Database Migration in progress!

Writing Things Down
Welcome to the First Ever GoMedia Group e-conference.
It is literally me just writing things down, but ey-oh it's not about a single update, but rather my plans for the future.
DESIGN ASPIRATIONS
The first set of goals is for the design of the website.
You may have noticed a number of design overhauls recently;
Quick Launch is testing a new QL5 design.
Media Otaku was spruced up with Glass design and is slowly moving, itself, to a redesign.
Whistle, Tabbit, Tabbit Notes are chilling atm.
I started a redesign for Shopping list, however, have had it on the backburner for the last year or so.
Business HUB is about to have an overhall, but not just yet.
But the biggest update overall, is update HUB.
And there is a reason for this.
Quick Launches updates have primarily been backend with more to come.
Media Otaku has been planned for backend CODE updates.
Shopping List was waiting for an update to design systems, as I think it will work nicely with Glass, not to mention I want to unify designs.
Tabbit and Tabbit Notes featureset is still being finalised, not to mention, I want to get a developer on board to develop a chromium extension that allows fpr additional functionality, not to mention the plans to split it off from Media Otaku.
Business HUB whilst it is going to be a core product, it needs to have all other products ready.
Lastly in this section, you may have heard something before;
UNIFYING DESIGN
My primary goal across all sites is to unify design schemes across all the sites. Distilling about 6 or 7 designs down to 3.
So this the first episode of a series of updates regaring future plans.
PS I know I've done a similar update but it wasn't very substantial. So this is a fixed version. Also, now I have a feature to add updates to multiple services at the same time :)
Search Results
I've been slowly adding results funtion (and search dataset). You'll be able to hide results (though deletion will be down to the group or company manager after 56 hours of the company being added to the system) in addition to searching personal and company links. I'll also be adding some Quick Launch links (such as search engines and useful software) in the future.
Service Update
Our Domains;
Please be aware of disruption as we transfer our domains from our old DSP; Google, to our new DSP; Cloudflare. (DSP = Domain Service Provider). This is because SquareSpace has bought Google's Domain division and after regulatory approval will be moving data there. I do not plan on using any single website building company to host my domains, as such, Cloudflare is the next best option (it's cheaper there, than SS too, so should be able to maintain these domains easily, so we don't have a repeat of mediaotaku [dot] com.)
0.6 Business Centre - Redesigned Uploader, Merged LH and Tabbit backend datasets, testing secret features.
We're working on rdr requests, we improved the uploaded and both streamlined and improved the datasets. Since there's a lot of common ground between our tabbit and Quick Launch datasets, we're combining them to make super datasets for both of them. You'll be able to make both Tabbit Groups and Quick Launch filters using the same form, we'll also be able to make a simplified editor to help with editing the content.
The core dataset for these two will also be the same, as they utilise the same information, just in a different format, ie instead of an icon, Tabbit uses a screenshot of the page it links to.
RDR will help you to get to the right places in the future, though for now, they'll be in more appropriate places.
Looking forward to the future! Roadmap - August
I'm starting to truly build the websites up, and as such I should start thinking about making more consistant road map. Here's our first one;
August will be my next month for feature update completions. Right now, I've got an idea on what I want to do for 3 of our products.
Media Otaku In August, I plan to release Home Page V into the wild, this version will bring our “Stacked” design language to Media Otaku.
Shopping List (PLUS) For shopping List Plus, I plan on revising the edit pages to reflect our current design practises, including bringing the “Stacked” design language, a notification to refresh the page (because Editorx’s default behaviour is to use the cached version) and to bring themes v5 to shopping list & shopping list plus (Along with account settings.)
Business Centre For Business Centre, I plan on integrating workspaces and (hopefully) release it by August. It’ll be interlinked with tasks and unlike the PV version, it’ll also have a progression mode (which will sort it into “Current Task”, “Next Task” and “Goal” which will be a complex web of datasets that makes it easier to focus on 1 task at a time. The shareable task list should also release before then.
GMG Workspace: New Live Preview
We've added a feature to the Business Centre
Hi there, I've been working hard to get the first feature up and running, by building the first dependancy. Lists is an important feature that makes tabbit work, and it's the first step in making Tabbit for Businesss functional.
This is what we've done to build Tabbit Lists, and what information is needed to get started.
1. I've blocked out the beginnings of the Tabbit Lists navigational hub, much like the other hubs it will be directly accessable from the main page, and provide easy navigation to the various lists that you'll want to share.
2. I've built the new "Add lists" function. Adding a list before you set up a link share will allow you to share a collection of links instead of sending 1 link at a time, and unlike our competitiors, you can have as many lists as you want (in the future), allowing you to share content in an dynamic environment. For example, say you make a week-daily news show, you can share those sources in seperate lists so that your users can follow along. Better yet, you can put them in the order of showing, or in order of your preference, allowing you to tailor the experience for your viewers.
The information you'll need to fill in the form to get it working is:
Title
Other optional items include:
URL Extension (This keeps the video links unique, otherwise, newest upload will be prioritised)
Description - tell people what this list is about
Sort Order
Prority
Assumed Details:
User (For Sorting)
Updated Date (For Sorting)
Created Date - Default field, cannot be deleted
ID - Cannot be deleted.
Welcome to the family GoMedia Group Business Hub
We're currently building a new product.
Originally, we had a vision. From day one, we thought about how to give users the best bang for the buck.
Introducing Business Centre. This new product allows businesses to use simple and advanced versions of our products, as well as some exclusive tools just for businesses.
Business centre, just like our other products, is free to start, but is further enhanced by the GoMedia Group Business Plan. This will be a multi-tiered dynamic subscription which will increase in price based on the featureset and number of users. Bulk plans are available on request.
Default - Free - 1 MU per account, basic link hub, basic File transfer, basic tabbit features.
Basic - £12 pm (£100 PA) - 5 MU per account, advanced File Transfer OR Tabbit. Basic link hub.
Advanced - £20 (£120), +£7 pm per extra 5 MU accounts, advanced features for both File Transfer and Tabbit. Basic link hub.
Link Hub Plus (addon to any bundle) - £5 pm (£25 pa) - Premium Link Hub experience. This addon is separate to give small businesses what they need, without feeling the need to be tied into a bundle.
Please note, free link hub accounts include b in their shareable link, whereas premium link hub shareables have p in their URL. This is an editor limitation, to allow entries to be accessable even when a user leaves the subscription service.
Currently the service is in ALPHA, and is not fully funtional but will be not too long innthe future.
